The Change Window dialog is displayed by clicking on the Change Window... push button in the Edit Window dialog. This dialog presents the list of window objects (and their associated Zim directories) that currently exist in the Data Dictionary. This dialog enables the window in the current Screen Painter session to be replaced by either an existing window or a new window with default attributes.
This list box displays all window objects for the currently selected directory from the Directories list box that exist in the Data Dictionary. An existing window can be selected by highlighting the window name and either clicking on the Close push bottom or double clicking in the Windows list box.
This list box displays the Zim directories for which there exist window objects in the Data Dictionary. Selecting a different directory causes the Windows list box to be refreshed with the names of the windows which exist in that directory. If the New Window push button is selected, the currently highlighted directory name is also selected.
| Close | This push button performs any required data validation, records (but does not commit) any changes which were made in this dialog, and returns to the Edit Window dialog. |
| Cancel | This push button discards any changes that were made in this dialog and returns to the Edit Window dialog. |
| Help | This push button invokes the Zim Help facility, initially displaying the section entitled Change Window dialog (this section). |
| New Window | This push button causes the fields in the Edit Window dialog to be populated with values for a new window with default attributes. The Screen Painter automatically generates the new window name. The directory name associated with the new window is the one currently highlighted in the Directories list box within this dialog. |
