Changing the Size of an Object

Once you have placed several objects in the painting window, you can decide that some are not quite the right size. The size of any object can easily be adjusted using its selection handles.

Try selecting a form in which you have placed several form fields. Make sure that only one object has been selected (i.e., has handles around it), because you can change the size of only one object at a time. The object's resize handle is the rightmost handle for single line objects and the bottom rightmost handle for multi-line objects. Move the mouse cursor over the resize handle, press and hold the left mouse button, and drag the handle. Resize handles can be dragged diagonally to resize an object in both the vertical and horizontal directions.

If You Don't Have A Mouse . . . Position the pointer over the resize handle using the direction keys. Press F4. Drag the resize handle using the direction keys until the desired size is achieved. Press F4 to complete the resize operation.

Once the object is the desired size, release the mouse button.

When an entry field's width is larger than its logical data length, the Zim software truncates the display width to the logical length. However, this is apparent only in Test Mode or when the form is used in an application.

Minimum Frame Size

An object that contains other objects cannot be reduced to a size that leaves insufficient room for those objects.
