Editing Other Attributes of the Entry Form Field

Field FirstName has been given other default attributes, as well. To have the field perform appropriately in the context of a customer form, those attributes must be edited.

1. Position the mouse cursor over the entry field, and double-click the left mouse button. The Edit Entry Field dialog box opens.
2. If You Don't Have A Mouse . . . Position the pointer over the entry field using the direction keys and press F8.
3. In the Data Value frame, change Length (the length of the field's data value-i.e., its logical size) to 30.
4. Select the OK button, or press Enter to accept the change.

Changing the field's data length has no effect on its screen image.
