The GENERATE option in the FILE menu provides a means to generate one or more form fields based on existing database definitions. When you select this option, a window pops up enabling you to choose an EntitySet, relationship, or document already described in the Object Dictionary. Once one of these objects is chosen, the Screen Painter generates form fields for each field in the EntitySet, relationship, or document. For each database field, a label and a text-entry field are generated.
If you used FORM DEFINE to access the Screen Painter, the new form fields are generated within a frame. If you used DISPLAY DEFINE to access the Screen Painter, the form fields are generated within a new form. In all cases, the Painter makes an attempt to generate an attractive layout. However, you can modify the layout once GENERATE has finished.
