The New dialog is presented when the item New is selected from the File menu. If the current layout has been modified, the painter first asks you if you want to save your current work. The New dialog enables you to select the painting mode, and the name and Zim directory of the new object that you wish to define. The dialog consists of two sections: Mode and Identification.
This section enables you to select the mode in which you want the painter to operate. The choices are WINDOW DEFINE, MENU DEFINE, FORM DEFINE, and DISPLAY DEFINE.
This section enables you specify the name of the new object and optionally, the Zim directory that owns the object. The object name is required, and cannot already exist in the Data Dictionary in the specified Zim directory. The Directory name can be blank, in which case it defaults to the "ZIM" directory.
