Setting Object Borders

The layout mode Style menu includes the Border item. This item enables you to set the border type for an object (or objects). When this item is selected, a list of the border options is presented. The list contains the options Default, None and a rectangle. Border selection applies to all the currently selected objects, except those for which border is not an applicable attribute (e.g. a scroll bar form field object).

Border Option - Default

The Default border option means that an object's border type is set in accordance with the painter's internal default border settings for each different object type. The default border for some objects can be a rectangular hairline surrounding the object (e.g. an entry form field), or it can be no border (e.g. a label form field). This is the most commonly used setting for the border option.

Border Option - None

The None border option means that an object does not have a border.

Border Option - Rectangle

The border option represented by the rectangle means that the object is surrounded by a hairline rectangular border.

Border Option - 3D

The border option represented by the 3D rectangle means that a 3D rectangular border surrounds the object.

Border Option - Beveled Out Container

The Beveled Out Container option is available only for frames.

Border Option - Beveled In Container

The Beveled In Container option is available only for frames.

Border Option - OLE Container Border

The OLE Container Border option is available only for OLE Container Objects.
