The transform option (accessed from the EDIT menu) enables you to convert fields from one type to another. This option is useful when converting a 4.x style form to use 5.x widgets. For example, if you have a field that can have values Y or N, you might want to make it a checkbox that returns Y as its ON value and N as its OFF value.
