Linking Application Components

< All Topics

An application is composed of a main application window and other windows or components that can be launched from the main window. In some applications, windows can also be launched from some of these sub-windows.

The linking of application components so that one can launch another is done while performing the edit design operation to certain classes of application components. For example, while editing an application window, you can change the menu by adding new menu items and associating them with an existing application component or a new component you wish to create. When you finish your edits, any new components are generated, the application menu is recreated, and the application window code is regenerated to include calls to launch the other application components.
