In the Screen Painter's layout mode, the menu bar provides an extensive suite of facilities for manipulating the objects being painted. The menu bar items are listed below.
Menu Item | Description |
File | The File menu item includes operations that generally apply to all objects being painted. These include New, Open, Save, Save As, Drawing Preferences, Import, Generate, Test, and Exit. |
Edit | The Edit menu item includes operations that can be applied to one or more of the objects being painted. These include Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Clear, Duplicate, Paste Special, Select All, Attributes, and Transform. |
Arrange | The Arrange menu item includes operations that can be applied to one or more of the objects being painted, and are related to their relative positions. These include Align, Even Spacing, Same Size, Justify, Size to contents, Bring to front, Send to back, Bring forward, Send backward, Align to Grid, and Snap to Grid. |
Style | The Style menu item includes operations that can be applied to one or more of the objects being painted, and are related to their visual characteristics. These include Fill color, Pen Color, Font, and Border. |
View | The View menu item provides options for showing or hiding the various Screen Painter components, and for selecting the zoom ratio for the display of the structure chart. |
Gallery | The Gallery menu item provides an alternative method for selecting objects from the object gallery. |
Coordinates | The Coordinates menu includes operations that determine the Deployment environment including Text | Color, Text | Monochrome and Graphical. Also included are functions that create a form or display in one coordinate system to look as close as possible to the form or display in the other coordinate system: Adapt Text from Graphical, and Adapt Graphical from Text. |
Help | The Help menu item accesses the Zim Help facility. |
